@Ivan OK right, I do NOT know if this is the best way (probably not) however, I wanted the options in a select list on a customer record and the way I did it was to do a record.create of a new customer (not going to save it just wanted a clean new record), and then grabbed the field and was able to see it's select options. There may well be better ways to do this, I imagine a more experienced SS2 person will wade in, probably frowning at what I did but it worked. It might just have been a case of getting the record in dynamic mode, but I "think" the options are no longer visible once it's committed if you then reload it.
