Hello everyone, I have a NetSuite renewal question...

Hello everyone, I have a NetSuite renewal question. Has anyone experience the following before? Last year our NetSuite renewal was $187,683. To cut cost for this year renewal we eliminated all of our Employee Center licenses, which should equate to a little over $26,000 savings in our renewal. However, after removing the licenses, our estimate came back to us at $206,686. How is that possible? We asked our NetSuite partner and they stated the following for the increase: β€œIn working with Oracle + NetSuite customers, we have seen that Oracle + NetSuite has been reducing discounts year after to eventually remove them from the subscription and have the accounts at list price. This is something that all customers should expect at the time of renewal.”

Wow, that's bad.
The discounts are opaque and I didn't like that. But the increases are piling up. Some folks here are reporting that the "free" sandbox account in some tiers will no longer be free.

yes, that is unfortunate. they know they got you. but also it only makes sense that discounts are temporary and/or can change, like in any business.

Also they increased the full license user price this year.

Thank you for your replies!

And also if you remove a module, they try to force you into replacing it with something else - so that that you don't decrease your investment.

How many full user licenses do you have? There are some ways to reduce the cost but right now it seems Oracle are really tightening the screw on all customers.

We've had unexplained changes to discounts this year, they never did explain how they were calculated to begin with but have been reduced with the same vagueness. The initial thought was that maybe the discount equated to the tier, where full list price is the cost then tiers give you discount to account for the lower allocations but that doesn't seem to be it! Had a recent presentation about tiers and can at least confirm SB isn't included in Premium anymore ( I did ask as the slide still had it on) not sure about the higher ones

I believe the 'free' SB its been removed from enterprise too.
