What could possibly be the reason why the Reconciliation Summary report doesn't match up with the Balance Sheet? No mismatched transanction date and period and no future dated transaction that was reconciled

Are you using a custom balance sheet? Otherwise system accounts could be left out, e.g. CTA or other currency related effects.

Not custom. All in GBP for this subsidiary and bank account.
