Is it possible to specify what location you want your COGS to go on an item fulfillment? We keep our inventory in location A, but that warehouse fulfills orders to many other locations. We’d like the inventory side of the GL impact to hit location A, but the COGS side to hit location B, C, D, etc.

That’s very odd requirement but can be done by custom gl script.

If you’re selling goods from multiple locations and fulfilling them from a centralized warehouse, how else would you evaluate gross margin by location?

I would leave netsuite locations as it is and crate new custom segment called as store or sales channel and do it that’s way. In that’s way inventory will be depleted on location A and cogs will post to location A plus new segment.

Interesting idea. We are hoping to create a full accurate income statement by location, so I suppose we would have to blend that custom segment with the new segment to make it work… Worth looking into. Thanks
