Hey folks can someone please explain me what are the steps of a suite success implementation? I am new to NetSuite and I am trying to learn; I know the steps below please let me know what i might be missing or feel free to correct me 1) Pitch deck is presented to the prospect 2) Initial business evaluation (pre sales team 4-6 hours , for high level issues -system capabilities etc. 3) SOW negotiation process 4) SOW is signed 5) project plan is sent out 6) scoping calls for business process evaluation 7) BRD is sent out 8) consultants start configuring the system 9) UAT is scheduled and executed 10) team training 11) go live 12) post go live - HyperCare support Also these are general implementation step How would we execute steps in NetSuite? when would data migration occur - what is sequential in migration COA, vendors , customers , invoices etc) How does configuration happen ? (What is configured first ? Subsidiary, segments, classes , general preferences , company preference, forms - etc) Sorry it’s a big 2 part question but this really helps me to understand the full picture - any help would be much appreciated

To be honest, you should be having a conversation with netsuite about this
r
How do I do that ?
c
Sorry, I assumed you were starting an implementation with them. You didn’t provide a context
r
No not implementing - I’m just trying to learn NetSuite thoroughly, and found a few slack groups so asking if anyone can provide information
c
If you’re not doing an implementation, why do you need to know this? Likely something you’ll do 0 times if you work with an established implementation.

I’m trying to learn NetSuite; because I’m preparing for suite foundation exam and really curious about the process - I will start applying for jobs in January. I am being pro active in learning, so I can understand the system better and crack the interview .
k
there is nothing of SuiteSuccess on SuiteFoundation exam period.

Oh okay 👌 thank you Karina

I myself don't like the Suitesuccess process, it is a cookie cutter process. Though fast to implement but not ready for operation in most of the cases.

If you are preparing for SuiteFoundation exam, then you should follow the Study guide for that exam. It is available on NetSuite's website. You must have access to a NetSuite account in order to study @Rushit Sharma

From memory, here's the order I do it. Might have missed a couple • Subsidiaries • Chart of Accounts • Employees • Items • Customers • Vendors • Intercompany Vendors • Intercompany Customers • GL Balances (in subsidiary currency) • Open AP • Open AR • Open Intercompany AP • Open Intercompany AR • Open Deferred Revenue • Fixed Assets • Open prepayments / deferred revenue • GL balances (foreign currency) • Open FX (and reversal)
oh I left out inventory. No inventory in my current role, thank heavens
