Hi All. I have an item search which is doubling the location quantity available if I use group and sum summary. If I remove the grouping, the quantity shows up fine. I have checked suite answers, but nothing helpful.

I guess it is some form of lines + header inclusion that is not straight forward to get rid off - may I suggest you just 50% it with a formula if you know its exactly double?
n
It's not exactly doubling. For one item, it is double, for the other one is 10x.
It is not transaction based search, it is the item search. Sorry about the confusion in the first post. I have edited it and corrected it.

ah no worries, well even stranger then, I would log a support issue tbh
n
Could bin cause this issue?
p
Yea, that would be a good place to start looking actually
Usually you cant get multi-level sublist data in your search without intricate joins to save your life but maybe this is by design 🙂
s
try out the analytics workbook might solve this issue

Okay thanks @PWN and @Sam-I-Am

just putting it out there that I have encountered this issue when using Item Name in the available filters. Probably time I recreated that issue and log a NS case...

Yea I have experienced this as well. It was more around the fact of using contains in a criteria. Try using “has keywords” instead
Like name “has keywords” xxxx instead of Name contains xxxx
At least that’s what support told Me

can replicate on a search without any criteria or filters, see above. Haven't seen that documented yet. I found SA #86143 "Transaction Saved Search to Match Sum of Amount of Specific Item" which describes your example

It really screwed with all my Celigo integrations because they rely on summary searches for inventory feeds so all marketplaces got doubled inventory numbers or more

Thanks @David B for confirming that I wasn't doing something wrong. Was this filed as the defect or enhancement?
