I know you cannot change the 
Centre Type
on a role once it’s saved, very annoying. I guess I have to make a new role so I can save with the right Centre Type. Is there any easy way to duplicate an existing role but with a different Centre Type? The UI for setting up a role is super cumbersome and we have many custom records, it will take ages to set all the same permissions by hand.

would be keen to know if that works/persists. Otherwise using SDF is a way to dupe a role quickly. Although once duped I'd probably refine permissions via the UI anyway.
might need to check where the original role is referenced (i.e. for access to searches, reports, records, etc).
this is actually a great use-case for salto.io. I should ask them for a commission for recommending their service... *to be clear, a good use case for checking where the original role is referenced. Not sure if it would help in duping an existing role

Also (if and only if you're trying to switch people to the 'Classic' center type) you can take the lazy person's approach and just get all users to check the "Use Classic Interface" checkbox in their Home > Set Preferences. I do this at just about every new place, so that I can provide documentation with standardized navigation/screenshots.
b/c obviously the admin (classic) center type is the best center type 😆
