My client is requesting to have different sales account for different classes. I know we can set this by default at accounting preferences. But how do i achieve this or is this even suggestable

You can only have only income account per item. If they need amount to go in different accounts then it is only possible by custom gl script else they should just use reporting by class that’s what the purpose of it so that we don’t have to create multiple income accounts to recognise income by class.

Yes this i am aware. The requirement is for capturing sales discounts at invoice payments for different accounts

The most wanted feature is mapping income, COGS.. accounts on the item using different class, locations, customer types.. Our accounting law requires to book Gl impact on a different income account, in case of different customer type (one of example)... I solved that with credit-debit custom GL impact, but still have transactions on the "wrong" accounts. it is so simple... There are similar options for multibook accounting... but we really need something like this for primary book
