My client is requesting to have different sales account for different classes. I know we can set this by default at accounting preferences. But how do i achieve this or is this even suggestable

GL segmentation (like classes) are meant to avoid the need to make multiple accounts. So having 1 sales account that is segmented by class is how the were intended to be used

Thank you. I will check gl and also convience them for one account segmented by class

you can also look into custom segments (GL impacting) which can extend the class segmentation further for reporting
