Hi - does anyone have any experience of creating a Shopify POS to Netsuite integration for exchanges (preferably using Celigo)?
There is now an 'Exchange' button on the POS app, but it's not too obvious (at least to me) how it presents on the API.

The way Shopify processes exchanges does not work well for NetSuite 99.9999% of the cases. Shopify now places the new item into the existing sales order. Most NetSuite shops I've seen do not allow Shopify POS exchanges for that reason.

Hi @AnaFarms - I saw a thread along these lines in the Shopify forum.
My integration seems to capture the 'return' part of the exchange OK. I was thinking of using the 'order edit' webhook to try to update the new line. Is that something you've looked at?
I do have a concern that it might get triggered by non-exchange edits.

To save yourself years of your life and to save yourself putting the netsuite instance in a worse position, I would recommend to only exchange to gift cards and then place a new order, or to utilize a third party shopify returns platform. (which process exchanges like shopify used to).

Celigo now supports it. You need to modify the Shopify order to NetSuite order (cash sale or sales order) flow settings, create an Exchange Credit Item, and enable it under General settings. Celigo will create a new Cash Sale or Sales Order for the exchange item.

Thanks @Diego - is that in the prebuilt app? I’ll take a look.

It is the pre-built app, but its a bit of a cop-out by Celigo. You can only exchange to a single sku of your choosing. That doesn't work when you are exchanging for a different sku, or a different gift card. To be honest, I don't know in what inventory or accounting world this would work for a company.
