Does anyone happen to have a csv template for importing inventory items with serial numbers?

You just select Serialized at the first step of importing. you don't get the Serial numbers until the item gets received.

right, im planning on creating the serialized items using a csv and want to include the serial numbers on creation. I know it can only be uploaded once at the time of creation via CSV, but im not positive on the formatting for each column, especially the serial numbers, do they need to be in separate columns, listed with separations by a special character etc.

I don't believe you can add the serial numbers themselves when creating the item record. If you can, I'd love to know how.

I think you must make the item, then do and adjustment to add the items.

@ccmdave - You can't add a Serial Number when creating a Serialized Item. You will have to create the item via .csv and then do an inventory adjustment increase to add it to the item record.

Feel like I read in the netsuite documentation that you could include the serial numbers in the CSV that's creating the item. And that that was the only time you could upload serial numbers was in that CSV when it's being created.
