I have a checkbox that when ticked, the PO will transition to the next state. When the checkbox is ticked via Inline Editing, it moves to the next state correctly and “executes” all the actions but it does not actually do anything with the Set Field Values in the Entry and Before Record Submit. It says “executed” but it’s not really setting the value. Any idea why? (After Record Submit actions are executed correctly though.)

Inline edit working only with “Before Record Submit” or “After Record Submit” 
For the set field value in before record submit can you check the  context ( do u have user interface selected ?)
