@NickSuite I was being sarcastic with VS Code lovers just to mess around, the fact is that this is a common thing that happens with OpenSource and Freeware from the top of my head I remember: (RedHat and CentOS distros, MySQL and MariaDB etc) if you don’t pay for it the software or the ones who write the software can change the software model at will, this is specially true when big companies create something as open source (GPL or whatnot) then after years of free contributions from volunteers developers the company change the software license(MySQL).

or open source being switched from a permissive or copyleft license to a BSL (re Terraform)
