Got an interesting one for you guys. I want to figure out the top 150 items sold, and have a scheduled report send an email showing which of those items are running low (under 150 count). I crafted a report to see the top sellers, but I don't think I can invoke a report through ss? Would need to be a saved search. My first idea was to somehow have a script check a checkbox field on an item record designating that item as within the top 150 sold items. Then the saved search could check for low quantities of items that have that box checked. But if I can't access report results from ss, either I would need to see if I can tally up total sales through a saved search which I can of course access via ss. Or my second idea would be to run a map-reduce job to tally up total sales. What do you guys think?
