So i wish to build my first Map/Reduce script. Who is going to be able to guide me.

Hi karl Actually i have investigated and found that basicall 4 function used in it getinputdata() map() reduce() summarize () First you create a sccheduled script 1.0 and then map according to that as per the requirement. Only save search data will comes unger the function getinputdata() function and map according to tha save search in your map() function. I am not more efficient in it also but may be wofk like that.
