@dbarnett if the record is being edited in dynamic mode, then sourcing will occur and validation should occur as well depending on the form used. If you dont have access to see if that is going it may be difficult to rely oj that. You can also attach a user event script and before/after submit compare the new and old values and react on it if you need to. There's no server-side field change.
