@mkachline the 'search filter syntax' from NS is newer than the function based factory routine for creating filter objects. I find the string array based filter syntax to be much easier especially for more complex searches. I expect (hope) NS does not move backwards towards requiring a bunch of method calls to define search filters or columns.
