On the inverse side though, it's easy to use N/cache, so, it may be worth your efforts to just try it. Depending on what you're writing, maybe the success rate you find will be greater than the failure rates of expired caches. I do not have multiple data points behind what I've seen, and, what I experienced was in sandbox.
