@gordoncheung Picking SS 2.0 or 1.0 comes down to personal preference, 2.0 has some newer features, but you could still write a restlet to do what I described in 1.0 and it might seem simpler if you're new to SuiteScript. My code can be used in a RESTLET, they're just helper functions. You still need them inside the main restlet function and some logic to make them work.
