I used Credit card charge to record the credit card statement, On the header account I selected the Credit card company as payee and the Credit card GL on the Account, then on the line I selected the expense account. So the GL impact is Dr expense Cr Credit card account associated to Payee). Now to pay the credit card charge I go to Write Check, on the header I selected again the Credit card company as the Payee and on the Account I selected the Bank account to pay, on the expense line I selected the Credit Card GL account.
