We are in the process of merging with a larger company, and historically we have used the 3 character ISO currency codes as our currency names, while the other company uses the US English long names: US Dollars instead of USD, British pounds instead of GBP, etc.
The new accounting manager wants to use the long names going forward, however we display the currency names (which just happen to match the currency code) on our localized transaction forms now. Using the english currency names in a German or Italian document seems liek it could cause confusion.
What options are there for localizing currency names so we can keep the long name, but have it properly translated on any localized PDF’s?
