Hi guys, looking for advice. We're reimplementing NS and as part of this we're moving our stock off and to another system. So in effect all our inventory items have now been converted to non-inventory but a link will be made by IPAAS between the non-inventory and the inventory equivalent in the other system. Question - how can we report or account for GRNI/vendor bill/price variance as in NS this can only be done with inventory items?

Sounds like you didn’t really mean to move inventory out of NS… :(

Yes we really did. NS wasn't the right solution, but we need NS as the bolt-on finance package
No you can use accruals and bill variance with non inventory

I didn't have the bill variance or match to receipt options on non-inventory items. Only once I converted to inventory that became available. NS support also said variance on non-inventory is an enhancement

I use accruals and bil'variance on non-inventory items (a box is checked on items called generates accruals)
