I mean, yes I do prefer JSON as a data transfer format. If you're looking for a more substantial reason I quote my keys, it's because then my IDE will highlight them. As much as possible I have my IDE theme set up so that every valid keyword/identifier/value gets syntax-highlighted. That way, i can very quickly scan my source, and anything that isn't highlighted is probably a mistake
