Has anybody successfully reported planned time as a committed cost that is offset by actual time in project profitability? NetSuite documentation warns against including planned time in the profitability configuration, but this seems like a major shortcoming. We don't want to post time to the g/l. We just want to include time in our project P&L reporting and it would be more effective if planned time provided a baseline of cost commitments. Thanks in advance.

The native Project Profitability reporting isn't very flexible. The best is to use Charge-based billing and set up all the required metrics via custom fields / workflows / searches / charge-based rules, etc. With this method, you can accommodate any business requirements.
