Happy Friday! Has anyone ever encountered this error? You do not have permission to access the Price Level record type. Contact your administrator. The field is not publicly exposed. Happens when I shared an analytics workbook to an employee. Their role doesn't seem to have access, but I looked everywhere and can't seem to find how to give them proper access.

Sounds like you should check the permissions on the Price Level custom record type.
m
that would make sense, but we don't have any price level custom record type

@Matt L Does your role have access? You should look at role differences and look at the permission which are related and provide that to the employee and see if that does anything?
m
they're able to open the analytics workbook and view all the tables and charts. the issue seems to be from them not having access to the field itself 'Price Level'.
so the data is skewed/inaccurate. not sure how to give them proper access to the dataset. error details: You do not have permission to access the Price Level record type. Contact your administrator. The field is not publicly exposed. Location: Dataset

Have you tried the Accounting Lists permission under the Setup sublist of the Role record. That would give them access though to other accounting lists like payment terms
