Does anyone know the big different between the "Global Bill Payments" and the regular EFT Bill Payments. They seem identical except that the global bill payments has much better functionality which allows you to have primary and secondary banks attached to the vendor for different subsidiaries. It seems that the main "Bill Payment Processing" only uses the primary bank account and secondary accounts are ignored. However if you use the Global Bill Payments it can see either one as long as you specify the bank account entity on the bill itself.

I believe Global Bill Payments does not have approvals. Thats why we could not use it

So you have 2 vendor records with the primary sub set accordingly?

yes. we just use the sub name in the vendor name to keep the vendor name unique

man its so annoying that they have all these features in their system but they won't just combine them and make it work as you'd expect

it was the enhancement ticket I remember spending the most time with NetSuite on. The PM got involved and told me as designed

I asked the ACS rep if there were any downsides because I didn't understand why the pages were separate. They said there weren't any and it was just functionality brought in later. It didn't really add up and now I know why. Disappointing since it would have fixed an issue for the team but they have been living with it for years already.

Unfortunately with ACS - you're going to get a mixed bag. Even with Partners things like this get missed/misunderstood.

Yea they are normally very good. It just got my hopes up and then Phillip ruined my day. 😭
