Hey all... does anyone have an ingenious way to automatically email the P&L report by department so that each month on a specific day, it loads the P&L for the prior month for a specific department and fires it across?

I wouldn't call it "ingenious" but I think you can accomplish this with the stock scheduling feature:

We remade the P&L in a saved search and used a mine Criteria for department then emailed that

Just make sure you set your report up with the appropriate filtering before you try to schedule it

@kennkerp normal scheduling wouldn't allow you to automatically send these without having to run and change period right? i.e. if I wanted to send in July, June's P&L, I'd need to open the P&L for each department and then schedule it? or am I missing something?

I believe if you select "Last Period" and choose a department, then every time it runs it would be for XXX Department and "Last Period", although to be honest I haven't tested that. I know it says "All footer filters that were applied during the last report execution will be applied to the scheduled report" when you're scheduling, but as to whether or not "Last Period" is sticky or the period that was selected when you chose "Last Period" is sticky I cannot say. You never know with NetSuite.

You can also set up your columns to do the appropriate filtering relative to today's date, and then you don't have to worry about that.
