Any insights on the best way to have an item that posts to a "normal" COGS account, but then when that Item is shipped out at $0 it posts to a Warranty COGS account? I tried using a Discount to discount the item at 100% but then the Sale price of the item hits COGS and not the actual Cost of the item. Trying to avoid having to create 2 item records that mean the same thing just shipped in different contexts. Thanks

Thanks @David B this looks promising. Do you know if you have to pay extra for this?

Is it absolutely necessary to post the warranty cogs to a separate account? Can't it just be addressed as a non-COA-based reporting function? I feel like that's easier. We also have custom gl plug-in. It looks free but requires knowledge of SS1 if I'm not mistaken.

@Luis this is a good point. I’ve been trying to use Class or some custom segment to help here but finance is pretty stuck in their ways
