Since last Friday I’ve been seeing XML errors where there are emojis in text retrieved though the SOAP API. The emojis are not new, but the errors are. Has anyone else seen a change in behavior?

... you mean you've gotten emojis as input previously and they've not errored, right?
not that you have some emojis in the the xml tags or something?

have you had these _specific_ emojis before?  they're always adding newones maybe they haven't updated to add new ones?

No the same old emojis have always been there. Just started triggering errors on Friday, and errors on any emoji. Everyone says nothing has changed, but something definitely has!

They are just in the text of a Rich Text field. 

have you tried changing the version of SOAP API?

Good thought, but I don't control the version used by the 3rd party service.
