Anyone having issues with NetSuite<>Avalara ...

Anyone having issues with NetSuite<>Avalara integration right now?
t
3 or 4 users have mentioned in within the hour.
It's not letting you reauthenticate either?
j
yup--i was told they are working on a fix and do not have a time frame yet
a
Jordan, did you call? I'm in queue but there is 16 callers ahead of me.
j
yup i called and hung up with avalara about 10 minutes ago
Hopefully we get a fix soon, as this is a major impact
t
Yes, it truly is.
Still down for you all?
a
Talking to support, they said what Jordan said no time frame; the Team is working on it... They did say they'd email me when the issue is fixed.
t
They haven't updated their status page.
p
also having an issue.
e
They finally did update their status page and the outage seems specific to NetSuite.
t
What's your your bet on when this gets fixed
j
i would hope it gets fixed today!
e
We found a workaround to get this fixed and get our users/systems moving again, but I’ll stop short of recommending it because it requires updates to the Avalara bundle code. You can bypass their token authentication and force basic auth using a regular Avalara user account.
a
Very nice, knowing our luck today as soon as we bypass we'll get an email saying it's working again from Avalara. 🙃
p
My Avalara just authorized
t
I'm getting this error now This Document has used AvaTax Services. The Bearer token you provided was not recognized by Avalara Identity.
j
i'm getting that same error message
t
Regenerate the avalara token
From Avalara setup -> Regenerate Avalara Token
It's working for us after that step I just mentioned
eh, I spoke too soon.
j
yeah seems like it worked for a few minutes and now we no longer get the error message but tax still not showing
are you guys planning on manually re-saving all transactions that were impacted?
t
Yes, we will have to resave everything..
Any Luck? Are you seeing any errors @Pete Kastner
r
There is a tool in avalara to recalc taxes for all transactions.
t
Where???
r
I'm on the latest version so it may be different. Avalara> Avalara Dashboard>Manage Avalara Choose Create Batch and then you can select the transactions/date that you want to recalc.
I think in the older versions it was Avalara> Batch> Recalculate Taxes or something like that. The Recalculation Untilty page looks the same though.
We have over 400 transactions we're vetting. The issue we're seeing is that we collected deposits on orders that should have had taxes.
t
So the Create Reconciliaton Batch would take the place of editing and resaving all of those transactions?
Or Recaulculate Taxes rather
r
Exactly

This is super helpful @Roy L. Thank you.
