Avalara Avatax: we had an issue yesterday where our NetSuite account needed to be re-authenticated due to a bug on the Avalara side. This caused all taxable transactions to be created missing tax until fixed. Today it is back and the fix given by Avalara is not working. Is anyone else having this issue?
t
YES! Currently.
t
Thanks for confirming. We are talking to Avalara. Major headache for us as we did a big billing yesterday and having to correct all the Invoices and Deposit Applications.
t
I noticed another user is having the same issue right now as well.
t
We are not able to re-authenticate at all today.
t
Same.
j
Any luck? We didn't have any issues yesterday, but since they implemented the new authentication method, we've been disconnected at least 4 times. Usually, we can re-authenticate and it works fine again for a bit, but today, we're not able to re-authenticate either
t
No luck here, I've heard multiple users having the same exact issue. I agree, last time this happened we could just reauthenticate but that's not working today.
p
Had to re-auth twice last time it happened, then it worked, so would recommend trying to re-auth again
also clear cache etc. before re-auth since its browser-based
t
We were down for about 6 hours yesterday. Avalara acknowledge an issue with NetSuite and finally got it fixed. Completely messed up our transactions which should have had tax and now digging out of that hole.
p
Have you had much luck with the batch tools? We usually end up doing CSV exports from searches and uploading manually
t
We manually edit/and save - I wasn't really aware of the batch tools till today.
Have you tried that @PWN?
t
Bulk CSVs are good and work except the Deposit Applications need to each be manually corrected
Return Authorizations probably need to be re-created. Cash Sales can be updated but any CC payment will remain as-is
p
Yea edit/save does work, just tedious and in some instances I get a little shaky on the SOX compliance if they were approved (its fine with a note really, but its not great practice)
