Hardware/mfg folks, more of an accounting question. If you have large /expensive pieces of machinery with expensive components that have an indefinite service life, what's the longer period you'd amortize them over (if you broke the schedule out by major components)?

Probably a question you need to ask your audit/tax people. It can vary based on a lot of factors and who knows what those types of rules are.
