@Allison Cawdrey - no transactions in FX at all? by “amount” do you mean that IC AP and AR do not net to $0?
a
@Karina Correct. This is just interco between AP and AR and different subsidiaries. No currency or FX
@Karina It is not netting out to zero
k
do you have two intercompany accounts - AP and AR and do you have IC customers and vendors?
or you have more than two accounts?
a
I have 1 AP interco account and 1 AR Interco. I have customer & vendors set up between each two parties that have transactions. I think it could be AICJE's that I saved with error message that said they weren't in balance, but they appeared to be. I could test that if I could figure out a way to drill down to those particular AICJE's
message has been deleted
Is there a way to see what JE's may not have been eliminated>?
k
what am I missing? your IC AP and AR accounts net to $0. That error is normal, but usually it is because because different currencies are used on each line (but you are saying currencies are the same).
a
@Karina The net across AR and AP, but shouldn't they net to zero across at consolidated level?
k
no, they should not, you should have IC AR and IC AR as balances, but when you look at them next to each other they net to $0. Some customers even have a section on BS with all IC AP and IC AR (if there are more than one acct), showing that they net to $0
a
@Karina What would be the explanation for an amount sitting in AR and AP account at consolidated level?
k
same as your regular AP and AR - as long as you net to $0 you are good
a
@Katrina ok, thanks!
