RE: Consolidated Exchange Rates Import. I have a circumstance where a client has a current instance of NetSuite, but is setting up a new instance. I have already imported Trial Balances and Currency Exchange Rates, and now I want to import Consolidated Exchange Rates. However, I realized that with the import, you cannot map Period, From Subsidiary, or To Subsidiary. But I do see that it is possible to manually change the Consolidated Exchange Rates in the Consolidated Exchange Rates page. Should I just update the rates manually, or is it possible to indicate to the system which rates go to which Subsidiary relationship in which Period?
k
Can you not download the list of consolidated exchange rates and then update the existing ones?
Shouldn't really be possible to create new ones anyways - should be system created at the time you create the subsidiary or at the time you create the period.
r
That's what I am trying to do. (You can only update, there's no option to add.)
But you can't be specific in the import about the Period you want to update, or which subsidiary relationship. I think I'll just do it manually.
k
The internal ID is which one you update
you can't change the subsidiary relationship on the record
r
Ahh, there we are.
k
which is why you can't map those fields to your update
by updating the record via internal ID you correctly update the rates for that subsidiary relationship

I happen to have a similar problem. Which record's internal ID does that refer to?
r
He's talking about the internal ID for the Consolidated Exchange Rate itself. Do a Saved Search for Consolidated Exchange Rates and include internal ID, or have Show Internal IDs checked in your preferences.
