A while ago someone here was able to change the department on an amortization schedule after the period the schedule was created from was closed. Does anyone have any knowledge of how you'd go about that?

Can you check if the Allow Non G/L Changes checkbox in the specific period in Manage Accounting Periods(as admin) is checked? If yes then that might be why.
