Hi, all. Not sure if it’s directly related to accounting but does anybody have experience with SoluPay? We are looking at this as our credit card processing gateway solution along side with NetSuite.

@Richard Liu We switched to SoluPay from CyberSource about 2 years ago. Their customer service is fantastic. Whenever we have a problem with a transaction, they pick up the phone almost immediately.

Thanks for the input! We currently do not have any payment gateway system, but hearing that they are responsive with the issue from the client definitely take in the factor that we move along with them.

We switched to Solupay a few months ago, we haven't "gone live" yet, but they made the implementation process wicked easy. So far everything has been great!
r
@Josh Godfrey That’s good to hear! We are also looking at their demo and implementation plan that they are presenting to us, and we are wondering if everything is as easy as they have been telling us.
r
We have Solupay now but we are switching
r
@Ryan House Do you mind sharing current experience with Solupay and why you guys are switching?
r
@Richard Liu Sorry for the late reply. They aren't a bad processor overall but their software is limited. Our issue is we have 3 subsidiaries that we transact through. The processor is having a hard time handling all three. We are looking into a company called Paystand. They have a native integration into NetSuite. We are still in the discovery phase but looks like a much better option so far.
r
@Ryan House No worries. Thanks for sharing. If you don’t mind me asking, does Paystand also have the functionality to provide terminals for employees to insert cards and sync the card information to NetSuite to save it like Solupay does?
r
Are you referring to payment tokens?
r
Yes similar to that, as our current payment process is that customers come to our cashier and pay with their cards. Our cashier will enter the card information two times where once time on the terminal where they actually insert the card while entering once more on NetSuite as a record saving. We are trying to automate that process by integrating them together, so that is why we found Solupay. We are still exploring other options and would just like to know if Paystand also provides that service as well.
r
Oh okay, yes I understand your pain. So Solupay can automate that and Paystand can as well. What percentage of your transactions are credit card, ACH, or checks? I ask because that's an important part. Paystand only charges .30cents per ACH transaction and Solupay is a percentage. Solupay makes their money on credit card fees where Paystand makes their money on monthly software costs. We've noticed because of that it doesn't give Solupay motivation to improve their software. These are just some of the things I've learned so far. I'm sure we will learn more if we do sign on with Paystand.
r
Sounds good. We have around 75% of transactions are credit card while the other are check/cash. We are a retailer, so we do not use ACH so far. I was looking at the sample video about PayStand but noticed that they still need to manual enter the credit card number, but I will definitely shoot an email to them to confirm.
r
Yeah, that's not a bad idea. Solupay may work better for your business and use cases. It's always challenging during the discovery phase to see it totally work with demos.
