We are in the process of implementing Avalara with NetSuite and currently our Tax System in NetSuite is set up without the option of PER-LINE TAXES ON TRANSACTIONS for United States which leads to Tax as Checkbox option on the line level instead of selecting TaxCode We use SuiteBilling to generate the invoice and having the TAX as checkbox option at line level does not work with AVALARA. If we check the PER-LINE TAXES ON TRANSACTIONS option which leads to TAXCODE at the line level instead of TAX Checkbox, AVALARA tax calculation works fine. Just wondering what are the implication to switch from Tax CheckBox to selecting TAXCODE

Go test it. Best way to learn. You might find your Avalara tax results dont post if any of those lines is unchecked. Happened to me years ago

@C_Billings Thank you. I had a call with NS support and they said you can use this option and it will not have any effect as this option only change if you want to apply one tax code on the transaction or individual tax codes on line items. I will mark this option to be checked. As you have pointed out that any of those lines unchecked, are you also recommending to check Customers default to Taxable and Respect Discount preferences. I have spent good amount of time to test different scenarios. Actually we are implementing AVALARA ourself with the help of AVALARA team. Would you recommend any AVALARA implementation partner

Avalara sucked as a partner when I did this in 2015. Customers should default to taxable. Uncertain about the discount preferences. Sometimes third party engines dont play nice with that setting

Thanks @C_Billings
