Revenue plans that are completed and have status as 'Plan Failed' on the revenue arrangement, but when clicking into the plan itself it has a correct status of 'Completed'. Anyone run into this before? These are plans that the date is being manually updated from the date on the arrangement so I assume that is having an impact

it is likely that’s what it is. What is the rev rec rule on the items? what is the trigger on rev recognition?

Rule is use revenue element start date and recognize immediately, done by using months term which is set to 0 on the rule. Trigger is billing to create revenue plan. I will look at it more to attempt to recreate, part that really confused me is the differing status between the arrangement and the plan itself, curious if this was a known defect or anything

Usually when you create rev rec rule you want to use rev element on start date and end date and use Amount withing Amount Source to recognize on Billing/rev arrangement/subscription event; you do not need to use days or periods, it is not required wit the use of rev element. this is the rev rec rule. and then on Item settings to match this you want to use Revenue Arrangement. The rule setting is not easy by any means. I prefer this setting because it does not limit me on rev rec - that is determined by the dates on the SO. billing then is completely independent.
