Hello. We find that the Saved Reports when exported to Excel are not the prettiest. In fact, we're not very fond of the options in Saved Reports. Is anyone using a report writing tool as an add-on or plug-in for NetSuite? If so, what are you using and do you like it? OR, if you use something to make the reports more presentable in Excel without a lot of intervention or some other tool? Thanks much!

I believe you can put report links into Power BI as a data source.
k
You can also use Solution 7 (add on, but not overly expensive)
m
@Travis Zuri Is Power BI an add-on or plug-in?
t
@Mitchell Londres Power BI is a Microsoft reporting tool. There's free and paid versions
It used to be part of Excel called Power Query/Power Pivot

@KevinJ of Kansas Thank you!
@Travis Zuri Thank you!

There is a Tableau export available as well
k
The tableau export is a single time export - not a data link
n
Indeed, hence the export

@Mitchell Londres. Our company is in the process of building out an app for this exact need. A spreadsheet inside NetSuite driven by multiple saved searches. I can let you know when it launches.

What about the suite analytics workbook ?
i
@Anthony Dixon Seems nuts!

@iSuite Hmm. Is that a good nuts or a bad nuts?

Thanks. We'll see if we can sell it! 🤞🏼

I use webservices to pull saved search data to a remote location and then use it as a dynamic data source for Tableau. Also thinking of incorporating postgres or mariaDB to make it more robust.
