is it possible to make customer deposits hit the AR aging report by changing the GL coding of the deposits? this is not working for me but I am trying to identify why this would not work in Netsuite

Agree with Nicolas' question. A customer deposits, by NetSuite's definition, means that the customer has already paid. Therefore, no AR ever needed. If you're looking for a transaction prior to the deposit being received, that's been a request with NetSuite for a while and folks have had to do some out of the box solutions to solve for it.

Ya, that doesn't seem to make sense. They want to see something on their AR report that they don't owe? Sounds to me like they're looking for the money paid to be a credit as opposed to a deposit then.

I have suggested a credit memo be used but they do not want to lose the functionality of the deposits. They are not too keen on a script being created to make the credit memos auto apply in a similar manner to the deposits
