Does anyone know if there's a straight-forward way to exclude elimination JE's from transaction search results? So far I am just excluding document number with 'ELIM' in them.. seems wonky.
Would be great to have a discussion here, on this thread!

Elim Journal entries should be on a subsidiary that's elimination right? Why not just join to the subsidiary fields and exclude it if the elimination flag is set?
or even better, just exclude your elim subs from your search criteria on subsidiaries manually
that for sure would work.

I first did try excluding elim subsidiaries, but it didn’t remove the elimination transactions, b/c the other subsidiaries are included at the line level.

Are you trying to exclude the eliminations themselves? or the transactions that caused the eliminations?
Maybe elaborate on the issue you are trying to solve might make it so I can point you in right direction

We’re gathering transactions for EOY Audit, and in this case, I actually included ‘everything’, but there was a chance they would request that we didn’t include the elimination entries.
I also tried removing the ‘CTAE’ account
I think the easiest, yet dirtiest way is still to remove via the ELIM Doc Number b/c it removes reversals and ELIM entries
I will let you know what I end up with .. mainly at this point, we’re just including everything, so I don’t yet need to remove ELIMs like I thought originally.

I don't understand why you'd want to remove them in the first place outside of maybe just making the export easier to read.
by removing things identified in another search
in which case, I dunno, do a join on entity to see if the "represents subsidiary" field is populated, and that should clear your elimination entries out
unless they had unbalanced GL impact to be eliminated for some god forsaken reason (I've seen it before)
