Anyone using the fixed assets bundle having issues editing midlife assets? It appears I cannot update either manually or through a CSV import the Current NBV, Last Dep. Period, Last Dep. Amount, Last Dep. Date. It doesn't appear to matter if the asset is depreciating or not as I've toggled about every setting I can think of.

these fields are not designed to be edited. They can be updated via CSV if the asset has not started depreciating. There is a lot to say about FAM and midlife assets uploads but if you have not started depreciating them generally changes can be uploaded via CSV.

Thank you Karina, I actually re-imported the assets and was able to get them setup with the correct fields. It was my fault as on import I didn't have the run suitescripts box checked. I ran testing and the issue appears resolved however I did not import any depreciation history records, do you know if this is mandatory? When I test in sandbox I can run depreciation years into the future and the net value and everything is correct and appears to follow through with the schedule through the end of the asset. I am hesitant to go through the extra step of the depreciation records as I am worried it will throw me off and it is correct without them.

good question! You sad you did not run the script - which one? I hope you checked the Run Script box in the CSV import under advanced options when you were importing. If you are referring to the Precompute Depreciation Values script in the system setup - yes, that’s the one that will create depreciation history “in the future”. If you do not have any errors under Background Processions > Status - you are done!
