Hi Everyone, we have a client who needs to change the Account Type on some of their GL accounts. It appears to be not accurately setup for them. I've told them the system doesn't allow editing for the Account Type fields once it's created especially for Bank Accounts. Hope you can advise a way to correct this for them.

I have the same problem with some of my GL accounts too. Our Netsuite consultant mentioned that it's not possible to change the account type though 😕

Pretty much your only option is to mark them inactive and create new accounts. If all the transactions are still in an open period you could edit them to the new accounts.

There isn't really anything you can do short of reopening the periods (not recommended)

I would actually consider having the whole P&L as "income" if I knew what I know now during implementation. Such a pain for things like summary accounts etc
