@Tiffany - the answer is the former, i.e AP account will suffice

So just to confirm I can use my entire COA and as long as I book the other side of the entry to the Intercompany Elimination GL account. The goal is to be able to book all bills into one Subsidiary and have the auto elimination post the other side of the entry in the other subsidiary

@Tiffany yes, you can use the entire COA, eliminations happen at BS level (that’s where you have “yes” to eliminate on AIJE)

Will this option also post to the IC receivable JE to the appropriate subsidiary or will a separate JE have to be made?

you can make one journal via AIJE (advanced i/c journal entry)
