@DonkeyBot Custom field won't help you here. You're looking to enter budgets at a quarterly level only? Just pick one month (prolly last of each quarter) and put your quarterly subtotals in that month.

Pretty much. I'm confused as hell to be honest. The solution in testing is to have multiple of the same budget but differentiated by a custom field for quarter. So they can then 'compare' these...

Ah we do, My bad, not a custom field. It's this one - Assigning budgets to different categories enables you to create different budgets for the same set of class, department, or location criteria. To create a new budget category, click New.
