Has anyone made a script that defaults the transactions date of a Journal entry to the last day of the first open period? I.E. since September is open when creating a JE it would default to 9/30 instead of todays date 10/1. I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this

perhaps too obvious but find the first open period (I dont know how) and then choose the periods End Date
