Hi all, has anyone setup a new Avalara tax item for Canada without the Advanced Tax feature enabled in NetSuite? I got instruction - In NetSuite go to Setup > Accounting > Tax Codes > New. Then, choose Canada. So, here's the thing - I do not get the page where you see all the countries listed after clicking Tax Code -> New. Instead I am directed directly to the new Tax Code setup page. Is it because we don't have the Advanced feature enabled in NetSuite - which I think gives you an option to create nexus I guess? Just wanted to check here if anyone is familiar with this issue and can suggest anything else?

when you enable the advance taxes, you should be able to create Nexuses for Canadian province, and you need Canadian nexus in order to create tax item you need Canadian nexuses and tax schedules setup first.

Ok, I was hoping it was without enabling Advanced taxes - not sure why its disabled in our account. I was not able to get good answers internally as to why its disabled. My theory is they kept it disabled in NetSuite because we are creating nexuses in Avalara. Maybe its not a good idea to enable nexuses in two systems?
