I am trying to show the total of payments made on a Vendor Bill, but related records are not available inside the layout... paid amount doesn't exist too... I am about to make a UE script to save the data into a custom field... is there any other solution?

It is true that you can pretty much only print what is on the record but you can add e.g. a custom tab and fill with all kinds of info / custom fields - those you can print then

There is a way to reference a search in the PDF render but I think it is important that the record holds the information you are printing so nothing 'essential' only exists in the PDF
