Is there a way to post labor to a work order using WIP & Routing, without entering quantities on a completion? I just want to add labor to an existing WO without entering finished Quantities, bc the parts are not complete yet.

If you set the Completed Quantity to zero for a WIP enabled assembly it will post a completion for just labor but not build or consume anything
Also if you just post a completion (without backflush) it will not consume any parts

@MGBC Thanks for the reply, but thats not what I am experiencing. I have a WO that I have issued components to, and if I create a WO completion with completed QTY to 0, nothing posts to the GL.
I have quantities set to my labor times and pricing in my cost template, but nothing...

How many operations do you have in your routing?

one
@MGBC Do you think this is why?

@Brian you have to add a completed Qty to get the GL Impact to hit
If you click on the Enter Completion (Not Enter Completion with Backflush) Then you can post a completion without consuming the components
However, if you want to ALSO not have qty on hand of the Finished Good then you would need at least 2 routing steps
You can post time/qty completed to the first routing step but this will not show any completed Finished goods because the last routing step is not complete
