I've not had to do that, myself - But I'd look at a Custom Record for that. I've historically brought in any invoices that were open at the time of cut-over, as opposed to bringing over historical transactions. If I needed the historical transactions afterwards, I'd do a Custom Record that wouldn't impact the financials, for record-keeping.
